أصدرت الهيئة العامة للإحصاء نشرة إحصاءات النشاط البدني لعام 2026، والتي أظهرت أن 59.9% من سكان المملكة البالغين (18 عامًا فأكثر) يمارسون النشاط البدني لمدة 150 دقيقة أو أكثر أسبوعيًا، حيث بلغت النسبة لدى الذكور 63.4%، مقابل 52.9% لدى الإناث. وجاءت الفئة العمرية (18–29 عامًا) في المرتبة الأولى بنسبة 63.0%، فيما سجّل الأفراد (80 عامًا فأكثر) أدنى نسبة ممارسة بلغت 13.4%.
وعلى مستوى أنواع النشاط البدني، جاء النشاط الترفيهي في المرتبة الأولى لدى الممارسين بنسبة 64.7%، يليه النشاط البدني أثناء التنقل من مكان إلى آخر بنسبة 52.4%، ثم النشاط البدني في العمل بنسبة 40.8%. كما بلغ متوسط الوقت الذي يقضيه البالغون يوميًا في الجلوس أو الاستلقاء، باستثناء النوم 340 دقيقة، بواقع 363 دقيقة لدى الإناث، مقابل 329 دقيقة لدى الذكور.
وفيما يتعلق بالأطفال والمراهقين (5–17 عامًا)، أظهرت النتائج أن 20.3% منهم يمارسون النشاط البدني لمدة 60 دقيقة أو أكثر يوميًا، حيث بلغت النسبة لدى الذكور 27.1%، مقابل 13.3% لدى الإناث. كما بيّنت النتائج أن 33.8% من الأطفال والمراهقين يقضون من ساعة إلى أقل من ساعتين يوميًا في الجلوس أو ممارسة أنشطة غير بدنية، مثل مشاهدة التلفزيون أو استخدام الأجهزة الإلكترونية، باستثناء الوقت الذي يقضونه في المدرسة.
تجدر الإشارة إلى أن نشرة إحصاءات النشاط البدني لعام 2026م تستعرض مؤشرات النشاط البدني للبالغين (18 عامًا فأكثر)، والأطفال والمراهقين (5 - 17 عامًا) في المملكة، بالاعتماد على نتائج المسح الصحي الوطني ومسح صحة المرأة والطفل، وتستند تقديراتها إلى البيانات المُبلَّغ عنها ذاتيًا من الأفراد أو مقدم الرعاية للطفل.
 

حدثت الهيئة العامة للإحصاء منهجية احتساب الرقم القياسي لأسعار الجملة في المملكة، وذلك في إطار جهودها لتطوير إحصاءات الأسعار ومواكبة التطورات والمتغيرات الاقتصادية وتطبيق الممارسات والمعايير الإحصائية الدولية ذات العلاقة.

وتضمنت المنهجية المحدثة عددًا من الجوانب التطويرية، شملت تحديث السنة المرجعية والأوزان النسبية، وتعزيز التغطية الجغرافية، وتحديث سلة السلع وزيادة بنودها، إلى جانب زيادة عدد نقاط البيع والتسعيرات، وتحديث التصنيف المعتمد، بما يعزز شمولية المؤشر وتمثيله لأسواق الجملة في المملكة. واعتمدت الهيئة سنة 2023م السنة المرجعية للمؤشر بدلًا من 2014م، إلى جانب تحديث الأوزان النسبية لبنوده بالاستناد إلى جداول العرض والاستخدام لعام 2023م، وقيم الواردات، وبيانات التعداد الزراعي، واعتماد منهجية السلاسل المتحركة السنوية التي تتيح تحديث الأوزان النسبية سنويًا، بما يعكس الأهمية النسبية للسلع المحلية والمستوردة المشمولة في سلة المؤشر، ويراعي التطورات في هيكل السلع المتداولة في أسواق الجملة. وشملت التحديثات زيادة عدد بنود سلة السلع من 343 بندًا إلى 554 بندًا، واعتماد تصنيف محدث للمنتجات في تبويبها، ورفع عدد المدن المشمولة في المؤشر من 3 مدن إلى 23 مدينة تمثل المناطق الإدارية الثلاث عشرة في المملكة، بالتزامن مع تحديث تصميم العينة وإطار نقاط البيع، والاستفادة من التقنيات والبيانات الجغرافية في توزيع نقاط البيع المشمولة.

الجدير بالذكر أن الرقم القياسي لأسعار الجملة هو منتج إحصائي دوري من المنتجات الإحصائية الاقتصادية التي تنشرها الهيئة العامة للإحصاء بشكل شهري، حيث ستنشر النتائج يوم غدٍ الخميس وفق المنهجية المحدثة.

The President of the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT), Fahad Aldossari, held a bilateral meeting with a delegation from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) on the sidelines of the statistical meetings held in Jeddah from September 26 - 30, 2026. The meetings include the 51st Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Institute for Training and Research in Statistics; the 44th Meeting of the Permanent Technical Committee for Statistics of the Economic and Social Council of the League of Arab States; and the 15th Session of the Statistical Commission of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), hosted by the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC).
The Indonesian delegation included Dr. Sonny Harry Budiutomo Harmadi, Vice Chief Statistician; Dr. Nasrul Wajdi, Deputy Chief Statistician for Social; and Mr. Rizki Tri Anggara, Chief Statistician.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed GASTAT’s efforts in statistical transformation, including diversifying data sources, developing statistical products, and adopting international standards and practices in statistical work.
Furthermore, the meeting is part of GASTAT’s efforts to foster international statistical cooperation and support the development of statistical work, contributing to improved statistical products and the provision of reliable statistical indicators that support development and decision-making.

The meetings include the 51^st Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Institute for Training and Research in Statistics; the 44^th Meeting of the Permanent Technical Committee for Statistics of the Economic and Social Council of the League of Arab States; and the 15^th Session of the Statistical Commission of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), hosted by the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC).

The meeting was held as part of the two sides’ commitment to fostering statistical cooperation and exchanging technical expertise, contributing to the development of the statistical ecosystems in both countries.

The two sides discussed opportunities for cooperation in implementing joint projects in emerging statistical fields, in addition to emphasizing the invitation extended to Iraq to participate in the UN World Data Forum 2026 (UNWDF) in Riyadh.

During the meeting, Aldossari showcased GASTAT’s efforts in statistical transformation, which are based on diversifying data sources, developing methodologies, upgrading digital infrastructure, and adopting international standards and practices. These efforts contribute to improving the quality of statistical products and expanding their scope to meet the needs of users and beneficiaries, including individuals, organizations, and the private sector.

Furthermore, the meeting is part of GASTAT’s efforts to foster statistical cooperation and partnerships, supporting the development of statistical systems and enhancing data quality to contribute to development policies and decision-making.
