Education and Training Survey is one of the most important sources of data necessary for planning in education and training fields nationwide. It is also used to provide the required education and training data at the international and regional levels.

Qualified researchers and trainers for holding an interview with head of the household to register data during the period of conducting the survey by using a designed form on the hand device (tablet)
The Education and Training Survey form includes main sections that are filled by using hand devices "tablet" in nearly 10-5 minutes. The form includes:
1-Enrollment data
2-Data of educational status
3-Educational status in the current year
4-Educational status in the past year
5-Distance from the educational institution
6-Means of arrival to educational institution
7-Household spending for education of an individual in the past year
8- Data of the non-enrolled
9-Training data
10-Talent programs
1-Understanding the educational and training characteristics of members of the society by age and sex and connecting them with other characteristics of the society members.
2-Measuring and assessing some important basic educational indicators and obtaining accurate statistical information and indicators that reflect the reality of the education
3-Creating a database for education and training to be used as a credible base for supplying local, international and regional organizations.
4-Using indicators of education and training to provide the necessary data for economic and social studies
5-Measuring the regular changes in the educational characteristics of the population by the passage of time and making necessary comparisons to assess the education development in the kingdom
6-Obtaining data about talented individuals and the area of their talents.
7-Obtaining data about the reading activities for books and novels.
8-Obtaining data about enrichment activities practiced by children (aged 3-11).
9-Obtaining data about training by individuals related to the training subject, training hours and the volume of spending during a year.
The survey covers all the administrative regions of Saudi Arabia by using a sample of families in these regions based on the updated framework of the census for year 1431H (2010). The administrative regions are divided into thirteen regions as follows:

6.Revision: Results verification and explanation.
7.Publishing: Preparing outputs for publishing
8.Evaluation: Conducting a comprehensive evaluation of all stages of the statistical process.
9. Management: Administering all steps of the statistical process continuously.
