The key points to be accurately taken into account during desk audit in household energy survey include:
1.Full coverage of supervisor’s statistical areas: In collaboration with technical support, the supervisor or his deputy must make sure that all areas are distributed and assigned to surveyors.
2.Full coverage of surveyor’s households in each area: It must be ensured that the surveyor has covered all the households listed in his area, both the surveyed and non-surveyed ones.
3.Household survey status audit: Section VII, 701, and monitoring the completion rate for each surveyor.
4.Making sure that all fields are completed.
5.Making sure that surveyor has chosen the residence’s correct data in Section II, starting with field 201 to 220 .
6.Audit the data logic of residence’s components in field 205 .
7.In field 213 - Drinking Water Source 1 – Public network, in field 212 Non-drinking Water Source 1 – Public network
8.In field 217 - Fuel used for cooking (one case) 1 – Gas or 2 – Electricity. Very often in field 201 residence is either 1 – Popular house 2 – Villa 3 – Storey in a popular house 4 – Storey in villa or 5 – Apartment.
9.Monitor the average number of household members at the level of the surveyor’s area, and report the reasons in case the average number is lower than expected.
10.Section III data will be automatically recorded via labor force survey data.
11.Audit the data logic of Section IV Fuel Consumption .
12.In field 401 - Do you use diesel fuel at home?, the answer in field 215 Electricity source must be 3 – private generator or 5 – Other (specify) … if such specification is related to diesel fuel.
13.In field 419 - Do you use Gas LPG at home? The answer in field 217 must be 1 - Gas.
14.Audit the data logic of Section V Electricity Consumption, and make sure that all data are logical and connected to residence data in Section II.
15.In field 501 - Do you have electricity at home?, the answer in field 215 must be either 1 - Public network, 2 - Private network or 3 - Private generator.
16. Audit the data logic of Section VI Consumption of fuelwood, coal and agricultural waste, and make sure that all data are logical and connected to residence data in Section II .
17.In field 601 - Do you use fuelwood, coal and agricultural waste at home? and fuel type is selected, field 217 ‘Fuel used for cooking’ has no choice 3 – Fuelwood, 4 – other and specified as coal … or agricultural waste .
18.In field 605 - How do you use fuelwood, coal and agricultural waste? and usage type is selected in field 606 1 – Cooking and grilling, while field 217 Fuel used in cooking has no choice 3 – Fuelwood or 4 – Other and is specified as coal …or agricultural waste .
19.In field 605 - How do you use fuelwood, coal and agricultural waste? and usage type is selected in field 606 2 – Heating, while field 205 Residence components has no data in fields of heated components in 208 and 209 .
20.In Section VII. the surveyor mush note the result of household visit (Sutvey Status) .
21.The surveyor must note the name of data provider, his phone number and date of visit.
22.Audit entry ‘Other’ in all questions, a self-evident case could be found among the field entries. Therefore, it should be corrected in the desk.
23.Validate the eForm flow in general as instructed.
