- تعتمد إجراءات المراجعة الآلية على إعداد قواعد للمراجعة الآلية، وذلك بوضع برامج في الحاسب الآلي للتأكد من وقوع البيانات في المدى المقبول لها أو عدم وجود بيانات لها أهمية كبرى في تحليل البيانات مثل ( عدم وجود نشاط اقتصادي، عدم وجود بيانات عن النفقات أو الإيرادات ... إلخ). وبعد ذلك تبدأ عملية إحلال البيانات للقيم المفقودة حيث تتم على ثلاث مراحل، تتمثل المرحلة الأولى في تقدير البيانات من أقرب مؤسسة تتفق من حيث النشاط الاقتصادي وفئة حجم المشتغلين وهو ما يعرف بـ (hot deck) ومن ثم إحلال بيانات هذه المؤسسة محل البيانات الناقصة للمؤسسة، في حين تتمثل المرحلة الثانية في المسح عن بيانات لنفس المؤسسة من بيانات المسح السابق، أما المرحلة الثالثة والأخيرة فتتمثل من خلال إيجاد مصفوفة من المتوسطات حسب النشاط الاقتصادي وفئة حجم المشتغلين، ومن ثَمَّ إحلال هذه المتوسطات محل البيانات الناقصة، و يستخدم في الترميز الدليل الوطني للأنشطة الاقتصادية وفقًا للتصنيف الصناعي الدولي للأنشطة الاقتصادية.
